Price Definitions
The Cashout prices are used by Transco to buy/sell gas imbalance gas from/to the Shippers.

The Cashout prices used by Transco are derived from the trading activity on the OCM each day.

The data is available via the Information Exchange as part of NORD01 in Energy Daily Reports.
System Average Price (SAP) Is the price in pence per kWh calculated as the sum of all Market Transaction charges divided by the sum of the Trade Nomination Quantities for all transactions effected in respect of that day, subsequently adjusted to account of any bids which are to be excluded in association with resolving constraints.
System Marginal Prices (SMP) These consist of two subsets a Buy price and a Sell price.
SMP buy

Prior to 1st April 2001 - The higher of the SAP (adjusted to exclude bids associated with a constraint) or the highest price (excluding bids associated with constraints) of any trade to which Transco as system balancer is party, irrespective if the trade was for a buy or a sell.

After 1st April 2001 -The higher of the SAP (adjusted to exclude bids associated with a constraint) plus 0.0287 or the highest price (excluding bids associated with constraints) of any trade to which Transco as system balancer is party, irrespective if the trade was for a buy or a sell.
SMP sell

Prior to 1st April 2001 -The lower of the SAP (adjusted to exclude bids associated with a constraint) or the lowest price (excluding bids associated with constraints) of any trade to which Transco as system balancer is party, irrespective if the trade was for a buy or a sell.

After 1st April 2001 -The lower of the SAP (adjusted to exclude bids associated with a constraint) minus 0.0324 or the lowest price (excluding bids associated with constraints) of any trade to which Transco as system balancer is party, irrespective if the trade was for a buy or a sell.
SAP 7 Day Is the average of the previous 7 days SAP prices.
SAP 30 Day Is the average of the previous 30 days SAP prices.
Gas kWh Bought Is the amount of gas that Transco, as system balancer, bought on the OCM
Gas kWh Sold Is the amount of gas that Transco, as system balancer, sold on the OCM
